About this project

Led by Victoria Bannon, the research team worked to update the IFRC Community Early Warning Systems guidelines and training package by enhancing alignment with key efforts within IFRC and beyond. Including, Forecast-based Financing (FbF), anticipatory action, Early Warnings for All (EW4All), Common Alerting Protocol (CAP), Alert Hub etc. Recent case studies and examples were integrated and a new high-impact ‘quick' guidance’ developed. A series of training products were developed for the CEWS training package, and a short course was conducted on-site in Nigeria by Victoria and Tom.
