About this project
This project, commissioned by IFRC and UNDP Cambodia, worked to make recommendations on subsidiary legislation under the 2015 Disaster Management law, to strengthen implementation of the legal framework for disaster risk management in Cambodia.
The Cambodia Disaster Management Law 2015 was analysed and recommendations prepared on subsidiary legislation for inclusion in joint report from IFRC and UNDP Cambodia. Dr. Mary Picard substantially revised the draft report prepared by UNDP in 2015 and made specific recommendations on subsidiary legislation required for implementation of the 2015 DM Law. The 2017 report provides recommendations to the Government of Cambodia on the subsidiary legislation (decrees) needed to implement the 2015 Disaster Management Act at national and local levels.
