About this project

HDC led the establishment of a peer learning platform to facilitate exchange of best practice on disaster risk governance among ASEAN Member States (AMS), and on the development and implementation of domestic disaster law and policy under the AADMER framework (ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response).

This work also included a mapping of AMS disaster laws to create an evidence base for assessing the extent to which AADMER provisions’ are institutionalised in national legal frameworks.
