About this project

The Vulnerability to Resilience Programme (V2R) was an innovative three year community-based resilience intervention, which included key components of disaster reduction risk (DRR), livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and organisational development.

The programme was run in a number of communities in rural areas (Kurigram) and urban informal settlements (Barisal). Community empowerment and the inclusion and participation of particularly vulnerable groups, such as women, children, older people and people living with disabilities was prioritised during the planning and implementation phases, and was a key area of focus for the Mid-Term Review.

The review was tasked to assess the relevance and appropriateness, coverage, effectiveness, potential impact, sustainability and connectedness of the V2R programme at its mid-way point to inform the remainder of the programme period and future development of the programme. Key findings and recommendations were shared with the programme partners and comprehensive evaluation reports were prepared.
