About this project

Commissioned by UN-Women, Dr. Mary Picard prepared the Expert Background Paper ‘Empowering Women in Climate, Environment and Disaster Risk Governance: from National Policy to Local Action’, as well as acted as a member of the expert consultative group for UN Secretary General's Report in Support of the Commission on the Status of Women in March 2022 (CSW66) - on “Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes.”
